Age Categories for Passenger Fares

ADULT 12 years and older
CHILD 6 – 11 years (Elementary school students who are 12 years old are still classified as children.)
PRESCHOOL CHILD 1 – 5 years (Any 6 year old who is not in elementary school is still classified as a preschool child.)
INFANT Under 1 year
  • Preschool children who are accompanied by an adult or child pay no fare. Limited to two preschoolers.
    A third preschool child will pay a child’s fare.

Regular One-Way Tickets

Valid only for the date of purchase.

Round Trip Tickets

You may use the ticket for only part of the route and get on/off at any station en route.

  • Available in every station at the automated ticket machines.
  • A round trip ticket is double the price of a regular one-way ticket.
  • Valid for 2 days.

Ticket books

You may use the ticket for only part of the route and get on/off at any station en route.

  • Available in every station at the automated ticket machines.
  • A ticket book contains 11 tickets. You pay the price of 10 regular one-way tickets for the distance you wish to travel.
  • Valid for 3 months

1 day ticket

It is a passenger ticket that allows you to freely get on and off for a day.

Fare

Adult 680 yen / Child 340 yen

The ticket can be purchased from any white ticket vending machines at all stations.
The ticket is valid only for one day within 6 months from the date of purchase.

If you are unsure of how the ticket can be purchased at stations other than Shinsugita Station, Namiki Chuo Station, Kanazawa Hakkei Station, please call the station staff through the intercom placed at the ticket gate. Station staff will assist you and explain how to purchase the ticket.
