Age Categories for Passenger Fares
| ADULT | 12 years and older |

| CHILD | 6 – 11 years (Elementary school students who are 12 years old are still classified as children.) |
| PRESCHOOL CHILD | 1 – 5 years (Any 6 year old who is not in elementary school is still classified as a preschool child.) |
| INFANT | Under 1 year |
※Preschool children who are accompanied by an adult or child pay no fare. Limited to two preschoolers.
A third preschool child will pay a child’s fare.
Round Trip Tickets
You may use the ticket for only part of the route and get on/off at any station en route.
- Available in every station at the automated ticket machines.
- A round trip ticket is double the price of a regular one-way ticket.
- Valid for 2 days.
Ticket books
You may use the ticket for only part of the route and get on/off at any station en route.
- Available in every station at the automated ticket machines.
- A ticket book contains 11 tickets. You pay the price of 10 regular one-way tickets for the distance you wish to travel.
- Valid for 3 months.
One Day Pass

- Good for one day of unlimited rides.
Same Day Tickets

Available in every station at the automated ticket machines. Valid only for date of purchase. Same day tickets resemble a regular ticket and only have printing on the face of the ticket. |

Advance Tickets

A one-day ticket that is valid for 6 months after date of purchase. There is a design on the face of the ticket. Sold at the information window at Shin-Sugita Station, Namiki-Chūō Station, and Kanazawa-Hakkei Station. ※Please use the intercom if you want to purchase an advance ticket from a different station. A station attendant will tell you how to make the transaction with a station selling the tickets. |
